Susan Hobbs

Susan Hobbs is Chief of Staff to the CEO at Automattic. She has held senior operating, investing, and advisory roles across technology and media, including leadership positions at Cloudflare, CrunchFund, Y Combinator, and TechCrunch.

She serves on The Human Board and has been an advisor, board member, and angel investor since 2019. Susan began her career as a public school teacher in Southern California before returning to her Silicon Valley roots as the first non-engineering hire at a hardware startup.

Outside of her operating work, she supports theatre and the arts, investing in productions in New York and London.
